He shot 75 today. Six back at the leader. Anyone who thought Tiger is back, think again.

have 5TP bump the thread, I said along time ago he wouldn't break Jack's record.

He was injured, out of the game and now in his mid 30's. Players drop like flies in sports after a certain point, unless you continue juicing. Tiger needs back on the hot sauce.

Breaking Jack's record is not an option for him anymore!!!! He would have to get very lucky to win a single tournament!! maybe the reno=tahoe open, Eldridge is finished!!

You have a ton of neuro balance or proprioceptor fibers in your lips and cheeks. Probably wouldn't make any difference to most of us, but I'm guessing when Elin rearranged his face and he had plastic surgery to fix it, these were screwed up and he may never have the amazing balance / precision he once had.

sean1, you say some pretty interesting things here. But I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

I've never seen some many losers have such hate for Tiger Woods. Tiger woods did more by age 25 than most people do in their lives.

Jerry Sandusky did more by the age of 25 than most people too.

Until Tiger beats Jack's record of majors (which he never will do), he can never be considered the greatest ever.

I'm sure some people are hating and reveling in his lack of success, but I doubt it's the majority.

Tiger Woods no doubt looked to be the best ever before his whole ordeal, but will he ever recover and regain his top form? His lapse last year was excusable and I thought for sure he'd regain his form this year, but he hasn't shown progress at all. His performance in the AO was another head scratcher, imploding on a Sunday when he's in contention.

Just judging Tiger as the golfer, it is very possible he might not surpass Jack's record- which seemed like it was a foregone conclusion 3 years ago.

Tiger really doesn't have the same pressure like he used to anymore. I'm guessing he wins a major when you least expect it.

SYDNEY -- Tiger Woods is right in the middle of an Aussie-flavored championship Down Under.
Looking more like he did the opening two rounds, Woods ran off three birdies on his front nine and to pull within two shots of Greg Chalmers heading to the back nine.
Chalmers was at 11-under par through six holes, one shot ahead of Nick O'Hern.

Woods
Woods was tied with Jason Day, who hit his opening tee shot into the water, and 54-hole leader John Senden. Another Australian, defending champion Geoff Ogilvy, was 6 under for the round through 15 holes and only three shots out of the lead.
Most of the birdie chances come on the back nine of The Lakes, and Woods' goal was to play a solid front nine to at least give himself a chance at winning for the first time in two years.
Despite missing a good birdie chance on the opening hole, Woods had good control of his shots along the tougher front nine. He hit the third fairway for the first time all week and holed a 15-foot putt, then made a 6-foot birdie try on the next hole. Key to his round, however, were a couple of pars.
After his one bad miss on the front nine -- an approach well left of a right hole location -- he pitched over a large hump to 6 feet and made it for par. He also had a good lag from 40 feet up another severe slope, and hit putter through 10 feet of the kikuya grass to tap-in range on the seventh.
Woods made his other birdie on the par-5 eighth with a 3-wood into the wind, not quite as pure as Friday, but good enough to get into the left bunker for an easy up-and-down.
Woods began the day six shots behind. He has won from that far behind on the last day only once in his career, in 1998 at the Johnnie Walker Championship in Thailand, when he rallied from an eight-shot deficit and wound up beating Ernie Els in a playoff.

I'm sure you have heard this one a lot off late, Tiger Woods is expected to return to competitive action.
The big cat is expected to come back from his 15-month lay-off at his own event, Hero World Challenge on Dec 2[SUP]nd[/SUP].
He is on track to play in the tournament after he called off his most recent comeback attempt at the Safeway Open in October. The word is that he has been putting in the hours in a bid to be tournament ready.
Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, said on Tuesday that Woods is "getting after it a bit more, continuing to work toward that goal and excited to get back out there and compete, see the guys and be in the locker room instead of being an assistant captain.''
The decision to withdraw from the Safeway Open in California was not based on any decline in his hunger or desire to win in every tournament he enters. Woods had commited to play in the event on the Friday before the event but back-tracked three days later as he withdrew from the tournament.
"The determination is still there," Steinberg said. "We've still got two weeks to go, but he is doing the things necessary to get himself as ready as he can be, but it's going to be 15 months since the last time he played competitively.''
Tiger's last event was the Wyndham Championship in August 2015 where he finished T-10th after he had shown positive signs of returning to being the Tiger Woods of old.
Since then, Tiger has gone under the knife twice for back procedures and played video games for 8 hours straight for 6 months instead of playing Golf.
Woods' road to recovery has been long, deliberate and has left him with a lot of questions to ponder. He has all along reiterated that he did not know when he will be able to return to action as he continued to take it day by day.

In September, he made a huge announcement by saying he expected to return at the Safeway Open in October and then further play at the Turkish Airlines Open before ending his year at the Hero World Challenge.
However, he famously went on to say “my game is vulnerable and it is not where it needs to be” just three days before the start of the Safeway Open and also withdrew from the Turkish Airlines open at the same time.
He has been pursuing a return much more seriously this time around and has taken to practicing with a purpose of returning at his own event after completing a media tour upon the 20 year anniversary of his charitable foundation.
Steinberg would not say if Woods is limited in any way -- "those are questions he'll answer and he can certainly give a better perspective than me; and they'll be more relevant two weeks from now'' -- but made clear again that his decision to skip the Safeway tournament was not related to any physical problems.
The man with 79 official victories will be joined by defending champion Bubba Watson, U.S. Open winner Dustin Johnson, Open champion Henrik Stenson and PGA winner Jimmy Walker, as well as Jordan Spieth, Zach Johnson, Justin Rose and Matt Kuchar.
Tiger is a 5-time winner of the event, the most recent one coming at Sherwood Country Club in California in 2011. He did not take part in the event in 2015 as he was just starting his tedious rehabilitation from his latest back procedure.
The event which features only 18 players is not regarded as an official PGA Tour event but there are world ranking points up for grabs. Tiger could do with some much needed points as he has seen his world ranking plummet to 861st during his 15 month injury forced lay-off.

Tigers Woods Foundation?

Everybody is getting on this 'Clinton Foundation' action. No doubt he's doing "Pussy for Pay" initiatives.

Tiger 5 under at Augusta

Firethorn. Tiger rips a drive right down the middle here, leaving 248 yards to the left flag. No sense in going for this one in two and risking the pond guarding the green, so Tiger lays this one up to 104 yards. His approach to the green was average for his standards, perfectly landing near the pin but just had too much spin again. This one rolls back to 15 feet but could’ve been way closer. Still, birdie putt is a birdie putt.
